Three Reasons To Celebrate This Weekend

Make certain you get to a Fourth of July parade this weekend. While I love fireworks, I think the parades are the most entertaining.

This will be a banner weekend with three big reasons to celebrate. First up is our country’s birthday. Flags will be hung high, backyard cookouts will be humming along, and fireworks will be on display across our country as Americans observe the Fourth of July.

Another reason to jump with unbridled glee this weekend is that July is National Ice Cream Month. OK, I may be overstating your reaction on this one, but not mine. July has been National Ice Cream Month since 1984 thanks to a presidential proclamation by President Ronald Reagan. Ever since then, I’ve looked forward to July like a child anticipating Christmas.

The Fourth of July is our country's birthday, and no birthday party is complete without an ice cream cake.

Lastly, July is also when 5 new Uncle Harry’s ice cream desserts hit store shelves. There’s my Mocha Mud Ice Cream Roll, Strawberry Shortcake Ice Cream Roll, Peanut Butter Cup Ice Cream Roll, Cookies ‘n’ Cream Ice Cream Roll, and Cake & Ice Cream cake. Coincidentally, you can celebrate the Fourth or National Ice Cream Month with any of these treats! Just a small, helpful suggestion.
