Recently, I blogged about the people at Coke setting a Guinness World Record for the largest ice cream float back in 2007. Here’s a quick contest for you. The first person to tell me the correct size of that float wins an Uncle Harry’s ball cap.
The Coke record got me thinking. What other world records involve ice cream? With a little Googling and a lot of reading, I’m compiling a list of Guinness records relating to ice cream which I’ll feature in this blog (if you know of any records, shoot them to me). Today’s record: the most expensive dessert.
Most Expensive Dessert. What do you get when you mix frozen haute chocolate with 28 cocoas (half being the most expensive in the world), infuse it with 23-karat gold, top it with whipped cream covered in more gold, place an 18-karat gold bracelet with 1 carat of white diamonds at the bottom of the edible golden goblet? A $25,000 chocolate sundae. This opulent concoction was created by Serendipity 3 and jeweler Euphoria New York. If this sundae is a bit out of your budget, you can order Serendipity 3’s $1,000 ice cream sundae. Enjoy.
